LEGOLAND is inviting schools from all over Asia to join this exciting challenge! Whether you're from China, Taiwan, India, Korea, Japan, or anywhere in Southeast Asia, you're welcome to be part of the adventure. But this time around, im writing for the Malaysians, because I do believe that in the diversity that we live in, the possibilities are endless as LEGOLAND encourages you to turn you imaginations into reality.
This year, we will be diving into the world of imagination as the challenge invites you to be creative with the 'World of Fantasy' as their theme for the year. Picture building magical castles, flying dragons, and mysterious forests – all with LEGO® bricks! And guess what? There are awesome prizes worth up to RM100,000 waiting for you! Winners get to visit LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort for a special LEGO building workshop with a Master Model Builder and enjoy cool educational programs.
Now, to elaborate on the insider details, the judges are looking for creativity, how well you capture the fantasy theme, and how you use STEM ideas (that's science, technology, engineering, and math) in your creations. So yes, this is the time for you to shine as your bring your imaginations into physical forms all thanks to the bits and pieces of LEGO as the main tool.
The LEGOLAND School Challenge has been a hit since it started in 2022. Kids and teachers team up to show off their LEGO® skills, and it's a great way to earn points recognized by the Malaysian Ministry of Education. Past themes like "Pride of Your State" and "Future Cities" have inspired amazing creations. Last year, there was a whopping 370 submissions from schools all over ASEAN, which was 80% more than the year before!
"The LEGO brick is a tool for endless creativity. By expanding the LEGOLAND School Challenge, we hope to bring kids from different backgrounds together to have fun and celebrate different cultures," said CS Lim, Divisional Director of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
