Recently I was at Uniqlo's launch of the Uniqlo X Hanatajima collection which was held at Uniqlo Farenheit88 in Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur. Honestly, being a Uniqlo shopper myself, I have to admit that Uniqlo has one of the most fashionable and comfortable pieces that guarantee sustainable fashion that would last you years as long as you know how to style it. Being a fan of Hanatajima, I must admit that I got super excited to discover her new collection this year as it goes with a collaborative festive influence in conjunction with the Raya festive season. Without further ado, let's check out what they have to offer.
If youre unfamiliar with the Hanatajima collection, it's widely known to be Muslim-friendly with a fashion statement that can be worn by anyone. Personal observations with my existing purchases by her collection would be that I love the cutting and the choice of materials that she plays around with. Skip the fashion run-way collection, cause this is the real deal when it comes to ready-to-wear fashion pieces that are everlasting and would never go out of trend.
For the recent collection, Hana Tajima has added in some Raya essence to celebrate the festive season with Malaysians considering it a big festive period within the country, and I must admit that her collection this time around shows a lot of Raya vibes that are minimal, yet can be styled in so many ways (which would depend on your creativity). Featuring cool tones of haze purple, light yellow, off-white cream and neutral tones, the ways you can style in this collection is unimaginable.
In terms of material and texture, I would highlight that the materials play a really important play in texture, which I would find that details are exquisite when it comes to this collection. There are not many abstract patterns featured in this collection, but I would say that the tone of colors has a nice balance of pastel and earthy tones to suit your style. On top of that, I would advise if you would want to check out the collection yourself, you should pay close attention to finding ways to layer the pieces together as the unique feature of the collection would be that it can be paired with any of the pieces within the collection, giving you the freedom to express your fashion senses with Uniqlo X Hana Tajima.
On top of the women's collection, this year around is a little bit more extra for the men as Hana Tajima has added a collection of Baju Melayu for men to style in during Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2021. From the collection, there are 5 shades being feature the tones in wine red, dark green, olive, navy, and yellow. In terms of sizing, don't worry about being too small or large, as Uniqlo has prepared the collection to be available in size XS up to XXL to suit different body profiles. Do note that the smallest and the largest size would only be exclusively available online through their official website.
Other than the basics, there is also a batik collection which features a collection for both men and women, guranteeing comfort and quality. If you love Batik and the history behind it, im pretty sure you would love the one that is being offered by Uniqlo X Hanatajima. It features repeated patterns on the collection with a unique shade of colour that would surely stand out. If you would like to browse through the options, be sure to check out Uniqlo's official website to see what they have to offer. Trust me, you'd want all of it!
