[BEAUTY REVIEW] Sarah Skincare | Affordable Premium Skincare

Okay, I know I already have my favorite skincare since I've been trying out so many different types that the skincare industry has to offer. But when there's skincare that shares my name, how can I say no? Im honestly pretty flattered that there's a premium skincare brand in the market that decided to name the brand 'Sarah Skincare' as it resembles the meaning of a happy princess. Pretty sums up the meaning of my name actually, but now, I can actually explore how that meaning has been translated into the form of skincare! Without further ado, let me introduce to you Sarah Skincare.

Sarah Skincare believes that the word Sarah perfectly matches the purpose and objective of the brand as it resembles femininity and it's a name that has been loved by Malaysians and other people around the world. Being a versatile word, Sarah Skincare is exclusively made for Malaysians by Malaysians. With that being said, this also means that it caters to skincare issues based on the country's weather aspects. Offering affordable yet premium skincare, Sarah Skincare has decided to let be very transparent with their cost in good ingredients to assure the quality of their products would assure results. Sarah Skincare currently offers 3 products namely the Anti Acne Cleansing Foam, the Acne Treatment Duo Serum, and the Enhanced Soothing Serum.

Sarah Skincare Anti Acne Cleansing Foam

Starting off with the Anti Acne Cleansing Foam, it's formulated with Papaya enzymes (a fav ingredient of mine) which is known to exfoliate, removes dead skin, and cleanses the pores thoroughly. To complement that, there's also menthol and coconut oil which helps in removing blackheads while providing the skin with hydration. To basically conclude the functions that this cleanser provides, it would be that in cleanse, exfoliates, and repairs.

It comes in a bottle of 60ml which pumps out foam. For those who are not aware of the differences between foam and non-foam cleanser, foam cleansers are cleansers that are in a foamy lather, and this type of cleanser is well known to be ideal for removing oil, layers of makeup, and even hard to wash off sunscreen. Usually, they dry out the skin, but what makes Sarah Skincare's cleanser different would be that it hydrates after cleansing since it contains coconut oil making it a well-thought-of cleanser. Upon applying this on my skin, it glides really smooth and cleanses the skin pretty well. After patting my skin dry, my skin definitely doesn't feel oily but instead, it feels moisturizing.

Sarah Skincare Acne Treatment Duo Serum

I never really knew that there's a specialized serum that not only targets acne but also provides brightening effects as well. The Acne Treatment Duo Serum contains Vitamin B3, Honey extract, Hops Flower Extract, Tiger's Milk Mushroom Extract, and salicylic Acid. Just to conclude the ingredients for you, it's a brightening, anti-acne, anti-aging, repairing, and skin regeneration combination of benefits. But really, I was sold when the list mentioned that they had Salicylic Acid. Salicylic Acid offers micro-exfoliation, removes the oil from the skin while minimizing pores on the skin. For those who know me, you would be aware that my main concerns have always been my pores and pigmentation.

Honestly, among all the products that they offer, this Duo Serum has the most eye-catching packaging! It could be because it offers a double benefit serum that treats and prevents acne. It comes in a 30ml glass dropper bottle for easy application and in terms of the texture, I would have to say that it's a little thick when applying it on, but after gentle dabs on the skin, it's easily absorbs and poof, no more sticky residue! Gotta say that the feeling of serum on the skin plays a huge role in ensuring that I apply it on, and this passed the test!

Sarah Skincare Enhanced Soothing Serum

And last but not least would be the Enhanced Soothing Serum. I find this serum very versatile as it meant for soothing and repairing while providing a protective barrier for the skin to encourage the skin to repair itself. This serum contains Niacinamide, a vitamin B3 ingredient that brightens while giving anti-acne and anti-aging benefits for the skin. I have been obsessed with this ingredient lately cause it never fails to give instant results upon application.

It comes in a 30ml dropper bottle and the serum looks a little cloudy than your typical serum. Upon application, the texture is surprisingly very light and moisturizing. Honestly, I find that this serum is an additional add-on to the Acne Treatment Duo Serum and as a replacer to cream moisturizers making it great for those who have oily combination skin like me. Im very particular with my moisturizing cream, and this is a pretty good alternative to prevent overdose sticky moisturizing on the skin.

VERDICT

As a verdict, I would have to say that im beyond impressed with the range. Despite Sarah Skincare being new in the market, they did a pretty good job of formulating these products. I have been using this for about 2 weeks now before the review and to sum up my experience, no bad skin reactions and my skin does seem to feel smoother and pores were definitely minimized. It's good skin care to maintain the skin condition, and it's gentle enough to reduce any inflammation on the skin too. Currently, a set of three of these products are going at a promotional price of RM128 (NRP: RM183.00), and I would say that it's worth every penny. Considering its a Malaysian brand, I would say that this skincare understands Malaysian skin needs. Enough said. You have to experience it to find out for yourself. As for me, it's definitely my current go to skincare.
