KL's Best Kept Secret | The Rub Bar KL

Looking for a massage parlour in Kuala Lumpur that is luxurious but doesn't burn a hole in your pocket? Well, look no further cause I found just the place for you to enjoy a moment of relaxation when you need it most at an affordable price range. The Rub Bar KL recently open their doors in early 2018, giving tourist and locals a chance to sit back, relax and also to enjoy their guaranteed no-frill experience. Since I managed to drop by to see it for myself, in this post, I'll be sharing with you a review on my thoughts on The Rub Bar KL.

Founded by YBhg. Datin Lea Chan Heng Si, who is also the CEO of Sirocco Hospitality Group Sdn Bhd., The RUB Bar KL was carefully planned out with guest and clients in mind. Being located conveniently next to RED by Sirocco Kuala Lumpur, guest can simply walk next door to rest, enjoy and dream at The RUB Bar KL. But the services do not limit to RED hotel guest, but also to the public who may need to de-stress after a busy week. My first impression on the parlour was that it looks very modern and cozy, just the vibes I need for a destressing weekend!

As you enter the massage parlour, you would be greeted by their friendly staff who are ever ready to serve you. Also, upon entering, you would also be served with a special mix of tea and also cookies, while you decide on the package you would want to take. Since there was a promotion running, I decided to go for the 2-hour massage treatment which includes an hour of reflexology and an hour of an aromatherapy massage at a promotional price of RM147!

So once I've decided on the package, I was given 'massage clothes' to change into, and boy it was extremely comfy! Dont worry about looking for a place to change, as they have a toilet on the lower floor which you can change with ease. Before starting with the massage, I was brought to a seat to get my feet washed and clean by a masseur who gently scrubbed all the dirt away from my feet, making sure that its clean before I was brought to the reflexology area.

REFLEXOLOGY

The package I took included an hour of reflexology and I was legit looking forward to the treatment since I just got back from a holiday where I walked a lot. A little worried on whether the reflexology would be painful (as some places I've been to would REALLY put pressure around your feet), but here at The RUB Bar, the masseur was very gentle with massaging my feet pinning on all the right points without making it feel painful. The masseur was also courteous to ask me if whether the pressure was too strong for me to handle. So rest assured, your feet are in good hands! I was also served with a cup of warm tea and biscuits while I enjoy the massage, and trust me, you would definitely doze off within seconds!

AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

After completing my reflexology, I was then brought up to the upper floor to proceed to my next treatment, the aromatherapy massage. The massage had 3 different oil massages to choose from, featuring de-stress, detox, and de-muscle relaxant. I decided to go for the de-stressing one since I was in much need of some de-stressing, so the masseur used the destressing oil which basically smells like lemongrass to me. The session started from the bottom of my feet, and gradually moving towards my back, then to my shoulders and hands. I wish I could describe how the treatment went, but I'll be honest that I dozed off halfway since the massage was so good! The masseur really knew which part of my body needs more pressure and once the session ended, I was offered with 2 mini wet towels to just wipe the oil off my body, so that it won't stick to my body as I head off to my next destination. YAS!

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

As a verdict, I would have to say, at the price I paid for, the treatment was worth it! I would assume that the masseurs are from Indonesia, but boy their skills are a major YAS (satisfying)! I wish I could bring one home, but I guess I'll have to come back to get another massage session done. Hehe. The ambiance was also something I would like to highlight as it really had this 'zen' feel of pure relaxation the minute you walk into the parlour. Trust me, im not exaggerating. Its a really nice cozy massage parlour, priced at a reasonable rate with ultimate privacy.

The RUB Bar KL would honestly be a great place for a girls day out! Did you know that The RUB Bar KL also offers massage services for men and children too? Yes, children! So imagine having a family day out with your kids as you enjoy your relaxation time with your loved ones. I really cant wait to go back again!
