| Exploring the new Medan Selera in Genting |
2018 seems to be a visit Getting Highland year to me, or to be specific, visit Resort World Genting as I continuously watch them grow into a futuristing location that is high up among the clouds. If you're reading this, you might already be in Getting and wondering what cheap meals you can get in SkyAvenue, Resort World Genting, or if you're planning on a visit and wondering how you can cut cost, but still have delicious food, well this post is for you! I had the privilege to visit their newest Medan Selera which just opened in March located on Level G of Sky Avenue mall.

Now, y'all looking for cheap food in Genting, well you got to check out the Medan Selera on Level G. Right when you reach the lower floor via escalator, you would see the medan selera just on your right in a cozy little corner. I love how its not too big, and not too small, and its even great for big groups as well. The price range starts from RM15-RM30 depending on what you order, and for delicious food among the clouds, that is definitely affordable! The variety they offer would be Rice & Spice, Noodles, Laksa, Western Asian, and Crispy Chips depending on what you're craving for.

You might be wondering what I decided to order? Well since I didn't have breakfast before coming, I decided to go Malaysian Nasi Kandar and mmhmm, it was good. I didn't think it would be as authentic, but this Medan Selera is approved by mua to be authentic. The portion is just nice, and to my tastebuds, I would say that the flavours are international friendly too if you're curious on trying Malaysian food. Other than my Nasi Kandar, they also have noodles featuring char kway meow, mee bandung, bakso and even Singaporean Fried Beehoon. Or if you're looking for some savoury noodles, they also have Nyonya Laksa, Laksa Johor, Laksa Kelantan and Asam Laksa.

Since I went along with a group of friends, they decided to order something a little different from mine form the western asian stall. So since you're looking for a preview from my blog, I decided to include their menu here as well. (you're welcome!) So, my boyf actually ordered this from the Western Asian section which is the Lamb Shish Kebab. The portion wasn't big, but it was definitely filling! And if you want it to be all western, you can consider going to the crispy chip stall serving, crispy fried chicken, chicken popcorn, fish & chops, calamari rings, and French fries.

I was actually surprised when I found out that they also had a salad & dessert section which consist of fresh salads, cut fruits, puddings, and local desserts like Som Som Gula Melaka, Sago Gula Melaka, and more. With tons of choices to choose from, I'm sure you'd find it a hard time to resist grabbing something to keep for later. Hehe. Being half sarawakian myself, I was shocked to find that they have Sarawak Layer Cake on the menu too! Definitely my perfect quick bite to fill an empty stomach.

And if you find all these meals to be a little too heavy, I was told that they offer a RM12 Light Breakfast Set where you can choose to have Nasi Lemak, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu, Fried Bee Hoon, Fried Rice, Roti Telur, Roti John, Chicken Curry with Puree Bread, and other meals, paired with hot or cold drink of your choice. A great way to start your day with a low budget. YAS!
