Weekend in Resorts World Genting |
Over the weekend, me and Haziq (a.k.a. partner in crime) decided to
visit Resorts World Genting just because, why not? Haha. But ok, I'll tell you the main reasons that we visited Resorts World Genting as
we planned to watch the theatrical show, the Monkey King Saga. On top of that, we were stoked to coincidently find out that they had a
Snoopy exhibition, namely 'Tour the World with Snoopy' happening all around Resorts World Genting's Sky Avenue. So here's what up if you're wondering whats going on around Resorts World Genting.

Mandatory picture with this adorable Snoopy |
Calling all Snoopy fans! Snoopy is well known to be Charlie Brown's pet beagle and if you're planning to head on over to Resorts World Genting, NOW would be the best time to go with your friends and family to enjoy the exhibition and
catch Snoopy wearing 52 costumes from different countries. I've grown up with Snoopy, and it just gave me a really nice nostalgic feeling that I actually got to take pictures with Snoopy all around Sky Avenue. I mean really, w
hen can you get a photo with Snoopy on a regular day? (Hint: At Resorts World Genting till 1st January 2018)

Because we couldnt resist the beautiful deco |
|
Christmas themes everywhere around the mall |
With the festive season coming soon,
Resorts World Genting is filled with Christmas tree floats, elves, sanitarinas, snowman and Santa Clause himself will be present to join Snoopy and Charlie Brown as they create a festive atmosphere this coming holiday season which pretty much gave us tons of reasons to take lots of photos. hehe. It really felt like Christmas already despite it only being the month of November. (Am I right, or am I right?) Just in case you're wondering,
'Tour the World with Snoopy' will be held from 1st November 2017 to 1st January 2018, featuring Snoopy in costumes from various countries! Try to find your Snoopy in your favorite country and snap away!

Lunch at Motorino |
|
Specialties Pizza |
|
Our yummy Calzone |
|
Pizza with a malaysian twist featuring 'cili padi'. |
|
Rasberry Booster smoothie |
|
And super juicy chicken wings |
Since we had about 2 hours before our show starts, we decided to have
lunch at Motorino, a pizzeria restaurant which originated from Brooklyn. I had no regrets dining at Motorino as it felt as if I was having a
taste of New York pizza without the need to travel all the way. We had delicious Pizza, Calzones, Chicken Wings, Fried Squid Calamari and Smoothies to wash everything down. I personally ordered a Raspberry Booster and it was super refreshing cause it complemented the meal perfectly.

Monkey King, the golden hooped rod |
|
Got ourselves 2 VIP tickets to watch the theater |
And by the time we finished our meal, it was time for your Monkey King theater show.
The Monkey King theater show is a 65-minutes show, scheduled for 9pm daily with additional shows at 4pm, 5pm, and 8pm on selected dates. Being there on a Saturday, since it was more like a one day trip, we decided to watch the
5pm show so that our return trip wouldn't be too late. Hehe. In case you're wondering, the
seats start from RM96 depending on where you choose to sit. So enough chit chat, here are some clips and shots of the show.
|
The opening act |
|
Insane core strenght and skills |
|
And i even managed to take a shot of the Monkey King! |
The stage production is a refreshing interpretation of the renowned Monkey King legend, and despite it being a Chinese legend, I can guarantee that
you would be amazed by the acrobatics combined with the visuals feast created by the 3D special effects used. Beating any theatrical show I've been to, this is a one of its kind show sharing a story with moral values based on a legend. Without a doubt, the production really
reminded 'us viewers' the beauty of live theatre and culture. Don't worry about not understanding the whole show as t
here would be subtitles throughout the show to explain what the story is all about.

Super lucky to be able to take pictures with the cast |
|
Dinner at Coffee Terrance at Resorts World Genitng |
|
We were so happy to find Japanese being availale in their array of food |
|
And yes, we practically aimed for the sashimi #cravingssatisfied |
|
They even had a wide array of desserts too! |
After all those intense acts of acrobatics, we got a little hungry so we decided to get a
heavy dinner by dining at Coffee Terrace at Resorts World Genting and we had no regrets! With a variety serving you the world, you would be guaranteed to find something that you fancy. With Malaysian cuisines, Chinese Cuisines, Japanese, Western, and more, you'd be spoilt for choices. At only
RM82/ Adult and RM41/child, I would have to say that it was worth it if you have a big appetite! I personally
enjoyed the sashimi a lot cause I never really got the chance to eat sashimi from a buffet spread. It was delish!
|
So when will you head up to Resorts World Genting? |
And just before the night gets late,
we left at about 8pm to head back home. Trust me, I didn't think that I can do so much in a day! The
only thing bothering my mind right now would be the 'burger & lobster' restaurant which I didn't get the chance to visit. Definitely sounds like another visit no? *wink. Hehe. So you've seen my 1 day trip to Resorts World Genting, and surprisingly
it only takes an hour to get to Genting and to also get back from Genting. Not too bad if you're staying in Klang Valley/KL. If you have any other questions,
feel free to leave your thoughts below in the comment box and I'll try my best to respond to your inquiries.

The trip of yours making me wonder to visit resorts world at least once.If you happen to be in Minnesota, you can visit Minnesota Luxury Resorts to spend quality time in resorts with your family and friends.
ReplyDeleteThis place doesn’t have any 'i'm too cool and busy for you' wait staff. As per me, everyone at venue New York is nice, friendly, and helpful and they really seem to like their jobs there and that is important to me. We had an awesome experience here.
