Handmade Body Scrub // Princess Malaysia

Scrub Review Time!

Since im going through my semester break, i decided to give my self a DIY pampering session at home. I've been eager to use this since last year but finally giving this a go since i heard a lot of good things about this! If you havent heard about Princess Malaysia, its actually a Malaysian product. *raises hand* Proud Malaysian right here! hehe. And if youre here to know more about the product, well scroll away!

Citrus and coconut

First up for review would be the Princess Happiness which is handmade with citrus and coconut. If you havent noticed, the jar label says that its an all in one body scrub which i assume that it can be used from head to toe depending on your liking. From a first impression it has like bits of sugar, citrus and shaved coconut, but omg, im not usually a fan of citrus scents, but it was to therapeutic to just get a sniff of this.

Here's a close up shot of the product itself where you can spot some bits of dried citrus and shaved coconut within the product. On a side note, i would suggest you to use a spoon to scoop out the scrub if you need to use it for hygienic purposes and also to make sure that you product stays fresh to last longer.

Just for testimonial purposes, i decided to use my brothers hand to test out the scrub. I applied a dash of scrub onto his hand and mixed it with water to scrub it down easier. Since this product contains citrus chunks, do expect that it might be a little sticky after exposing it to water. I gave a good minute of scrubbing and once it was smooth and clean, i told my brother to wash his hands. From the before and after photo, i think you can pretty much tell that the after effect looks and feels smoother compared to the left hand. Im not too sure if its clear, but my brother hand was even fairer than the other after scrubbing.

PRINCESS GLORIOUS

Rose, Virgin Coconut and olive oil

Next would be the Princess Glorious which is handmade with rose,virgin coconut and olive oil. I would say that every women would enjoy like this! The smell wasnt as strong as the Princess Happiness, but the texture was definitely more smoother than the Citrus mix. The rose scent wasnt as strong despite since the coconut scent was stronger. Either way, it still smells amazing.

Again as a reminder, i would suggest you to use a spoon to scoop out the scrub if you need to use it for hygienic purposes and also to make sure that you product stays fresh to last longer.  I dont know if you realise, but the texture for this seems to be more fine compared to the citrus scrub.

Results to smoother fairer skin

When you mix the scrub with water, the scrub was definitely more finer than the citrus scrub. When giving a good scrub on the skin, it felt very gentle on the skin effortlessly. The scent isnt as strong as the citrus scrub, but if youre not looking for the scent, this would be the choice for you. I particularly have sensitive skin, so generally prefer using this product more.

VERDICT

Conclusion?

As a verdict, i would say that both products are equally as good, depending on what you want. Princess Happiness is slightly rougher than the Princess Glorious, so if you have stubborn skin or if you want to really scrub all the dirt and dead skin cells off, go for Princess Happiness. But on a more often usage, i would highly recommend the Princess Glorious! These scrubs are made from scratch and i could tell that they were use with the best quality of organic ingredients.

Hint: Both are usable for bathtubs as well.
