Defining the future with KOSÉ

The Seminar Hall at Majestic Hotel
On the 7th of August 2015, i was invited to a seminar to discover new findings from dermatology research, the breakthrough in cell biology product development, smart beauty solutions and more on beauty ingredients, which i would like KOSÉ's Marketing Team // PR Team for having me to the lovely seminar. I have personally learned a lot during the seminar which focuses on TWO new key ingredients, Kojic Acid and Liposome from its most well-loved prestigious brands, Infinity KOSÉ and Cosme Decorte. And good things are meant to be shared right? So ladies, lets get down to business on the secrets to keeping your youthful skin.

Maasaki Hara, giving a welcoming address to introduce KOSÉ Corporation.
Kojic Acid Technology

The lovely layout display of products.
Im pretty sure we all know that Japanese culture evolves around rice wine, soy sauce and miso, but did you know that all these wouldn't exist without the addition of koji?  Koji is a specific type of mould spore that occurs on streamed rice and contains Kojic Acid, which is the star ingredient in a few of KOSÉ's whitening skincare series.

Where main ingredients of where Kojic Acid comes from.
Discovered in 1907, research started in 1975 to test on its whitening effect, mainly due to observations of the hands of miso and rice wine makers appeared fair and bright. And in 1988, Kojic Acid was approved as a whitening agent by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Thanks to a unique fermentation method, KOSEÉ is able to obtain 100% pure Kojic Acid which has smaller molecules than general whitening agents, thus penetrating into skin more effectively.

Akinobu Hayashi presenting the miracles of what Kojic Acid can do.
Akinobu Hayashi, General Manager in Advance Cosmetic Research Laboratories is KOSÉ Corporation shared that "pigmentations occurs due to a few reasons: UV exposure, inflammation, hormonal changes, stress, visceral imbalance and also genes, which results as 'aggravations', we get liver spots, age spots, freckles and inflammatory scars." Yikes! Slides were well explained by Akinobu Hayashi and i believe they have done their best in providing innovative solutions to satisfy their customers.

The Realizing White Lotion XX which contains Kojic Acid.
FUNFACT: Dark spots are caused by the effects of Tyrosinase, which contains copper ions. When skin is exposed to UV, copper ions activates Tyrosinase to start working, thus resulting melanin production and pigmentation.

Kojic Acid works effectively on dark spots by 'circumcising' the copper ions so that they fail to activate the Tyrosinase, preventing melanin production. So there you have it, Kojic Acid is found to be effective in controlling and lightening the four main types of pigmentation.

The Infinity Kose Realizing White Stick XX.
The highlight of the event was the latest whitening beauty product that incorporates Kojic Acid, the INFINITY KOSÉ REALIZING WHITE STICK XX. It innovatively delivers the naturally-derived active whitening ingredient kojic acid to skin zones with dark spots through a convenient stick type serum. It works by just applying it directly to zones prone to blemishes and the formula tightly seals the area off with an intensive, rich formula, delivering kojic acid to the root cells. I was amazed when i was trying it out at the testing counter as it was so easy to be applied, not to forget that it saves time too when you're rushing.

LIPOSOME Treatment Liquid

DECORTÉ's Liposome Treatment Liquid.
DECORTÉ's Liposome Treatment Liquid.
Next, I present to you the Beauty Evolution of LIPOSOME Treatment Liquid brought to you by DECORTÉ. A liposome is a tiny bubble made of phospholipids or the same material as a cell membrane measuring 0.1 to 0.2 microns. Thanks to its capsule format, it can be filled with active agents and deliver them to target areas in our skin and also providing moisture at the same time. And the secret to make this possible would be the new discovery of Ruscus Aculeatus (Root Extract) and Eriobotrya Japonica ( Leaf Extract) which works as a Potentional maximizer.

Major ingredients DECORTÉ's Liposome Treatment Liquid, containing Roof extract and Leaf extract.
The development period took more than 10 years to ensure permeability and long term stability on your skin. What makes LIPOSOME Treatment Liquid different from other lotions would be that they have successfully developed a new phospholipid called activating phospholipid, where it brightens and contributes to stability of phospholipid membrane in the lotion. An experiment was presented by Kelly showing us the difference between Liposome dispersion and conventional emulsion which amazed attendees the difference between the two at the seminar, and we practically saw the difference. LIPOSOME Treatment Liquid wins!

Kelly giving showing us an experiment on the difference between Liposome dispersion and conventional emulsion.
Did you know that it has been nearly 30 years since the birth of Liposome technology in skin case and this year, COSME DECORTEÉ is set to offer women a cutting edge of discovery to help achieve unprecedented level of skin beauty. The all new LIPOSOME Treatment Liquid, the first multi-layered liposome lotion that revitalises 'skin captors' with instant effects! It addresses roughness, dryness and dullness in ageing skin, as well as irregular texture caused by the weakening of the stratum corneum. Its unbelievable that its the solution to anything in one bottle.

Noboru Naito was glad to share the rationale behind the creation of Liposome.
Here we have Noboru Naito, the Executive Director of Research & Development Division in KOSÉ Corporation, who said that "we've discovered that theres a substance between the layers of the stratum corneum (skin capacitors). This is the mechanism that allows skin to retain moisture. Skin with larger 'skin capacitors' are able to absorb and retain more nutrients, improving the barrier function and in turn, maintaining its healthy beauty condition. " Very well said by Nobory Naito on explaining on the rationale behind the creation of Liposome Treatment Liquid.

 DECORTÉ's Liposome Treatment Liquid
So there you have it, the liposome technology does wonders to moisture your skin, refine skin texture, minimised pores, visible clarity and more! These new and original active ingredients developed for Liposome Treatment Liquid are from plant extracts. Among their many functions and benefits, its also includes anti-inflammatory and anti oxidation properties to boost cell activity and stimulate production of natural chemicals in our skin.

Here i have Blogger Kelly and Shivani who was with me at the seminar :)
